What is Viva Engage?
Viva Engage (formerly known as Yammer) is Microsoft’s social collaboration platform and makes it easy for you to engage with people across your organisation on a wide variety of topics. You can view, prioritise, and manage your most important messages and announcements with the Viva Engage inbox and stay on top of what matters, get insights, and tap into the knowledge of others using the Discovery feed.
Viva Engage communities are for you, if you
- are looking for a place in which people can interact, share ideas and get feedback
- have more than 50 people who will be actively participating
- want others to be able to find your community
- can dedicate time (or have someone who can) to moderating and nurturing your community
Use Viva Engage to

Viva Engage can be accessed either via the web browser or as a mobile app on your phone. The Viva Engage app creates a social layer across Microsoft 365 tools. With relevant announcements, posts and communities show up in Teams Activity, your Outlook inbox, as well as Viva Engage.
