Our Grieving Hearts

Our Grieving Hearts celebrated its 10th anniversary, offering hope and help following the devastating loss of a precious son or daughter.

We are so proud to have helped Our Grieving Hearts at their working party at Butterfly Meadows, a place of tranquillity for parents who have lost their children. The volunteers worked tirelessly to restore this beautiful garden.

The relaxing afternoon for bereaved parents, grandparents, siblings and Butterfly Meadow Brentwood volunteers saw a dove release courtesy of Jane Bennett of Bennetts Funeral Directors Ltd.

Our team is looking forward to the next working party and contributing more to this amazing and important project. Many thanks to everyone involved.

Environment

At Outside Help, we’re all about being green. As a new, small, and local London company, we believe in the power of sustainable practices! Our mission is to promote sustainable development and low-carbon business practices worldwide through our eco-friendly business methods, cloud-enabled technologies, and remote services.

The Covid-19 pandemic showed us how quickly the world can change, and some of those changes were positive. We saw clear waters in the Venice Canals with dolphins swimming, blue skies over normally smoggy Delhi, and wild animals exploring the quiet streets of locked-down London. If such dramatic improvements can happen in a short time, why can’t we make lasting changes for the better?

We’re serious about our commitment to the planet. We embrace practices like working from home (yes, we don’t have any offices), which cuts down on travel. We avoid printing (we’re a tech company, after all – paper is a no-go!), and we source from local suppliers, and use digital business cards. Plus, we recycle and reuse as much as possible.

We’ve partnered with Phoenix FM and their associated charities, such as Hopefield Animal Sanctuary and Butterfly Meadow, to give back to the environment. At Outside Help, we’re not just about helping you with IT – we’re also dedicated to helping the outside world!

Mental Health

At Outside Help, we’re dedicated to our clients’ mental health. After all, it’s what’s on the inside that counts!

While we keep computers healthy, we’re equally focused on keeping our people healthy. But mental health to us is more than just initiatives. What actually is mental health? We’ve all heard the term and the broad range of issues it encompasses, but with so many different challenges, where do you start to help?

Mental health isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal. It affects everyone differently – young, old, male, female – and with our diverse team, we’re learning from each other how best to help.

We’re not professionals, but we’ve discovered things that work for us. We’re a lifeline for business IT support, so why can’t we be a lifeline for each other? We want to bring a new meaning to the IT service desk!

Remote working can help balance family commitments and the pressures of home life with work. You can work from a place that feels safe and suits your needs without the stresses of outside life interrupting your happy environment.

No questions asked. Have an appointment to get to? Go. Need to take a personal day? Take it. Have an important phone call you’ve been waiting for? Answer it. We trust each other to do our work and look after ourselves at the same time. Outside Help provides the tools to take your business on the go, for whenever you need it. We offer open-ended bereavement, regular work breaks, proper workstation setups, flexible hours, team retreats, in-house workshops, learning webinars, confidential support, and a trained mental health first aider. The list of what we can and want to do to help is endless. While we’re still learning, we strive to grow and improve.
